The Michael Law Firm has a diverse transactional practice.  The Firm's attorneys help our clients structure, negotiate and close a wide array of transactions.   While the majority of the Firm's clients are in the technology, real estate and entertainment industries, the Firm's attorneys represent clients in other fields such as manufacturing, retail and food service.

The founder of the Firm, Ephraim Michael, received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University and worked for several years as a design engineer with International Paper Company.  Mr. Michael received his Juris Doctor from the Columbia University School of Law in New York City where he was an editor of the Columbia-VLA Journal of Law and the Arts and a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.  While attending law school, he worked for two years with the Business and Legal Affairs Department of the record/publishing company Zomba/Jive (home of such acts as KRS-1, A Tribe Called Quest, Brittany Spears, Backstreet Boys and R. Kelly).

After law school, Mr. Michael moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he began his legal career with the corporate finance/technology practice group of the law firm Powell, Goldstein, Frazer and Murphy. He also worked for several years as VP of Business and Legal Affairs of a NASDAQ listed entertainment company and with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig.

Mr. Michael is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and is active in the Intellectual Property and Real Property Sections of the State Bar of Georgia.
